FDA approved Respirators

 NIOSH-approved products are listed by brand.  Links to manufacturers' websites are provided to users as a courtesy and NIOSH is not responsible for the content of such pages.  It also includes the manufacturer's phone number, product model number, approval number (84A-XXXX), indicating whether the product has an exhalation valve and the dong's instructions to the user.  Manufacturers' donning procedures and/or instructions for use are also provided as a courtesy to the user.

The manufacturer's recommended method of verifying the user's tightness may be included in the donning procedure and/or user instructions as an alternative to OSHA-specific procedures under respiratory protection standards.  29 CFR 1910.134 See Appendix B-1 External Icon).  NIOSH does not assess the effectiveness and reliability of a user's seal verification procedures, but OSHA will accept the manufacturer's proposed procedure if the employer demonstrates that the procedure is equally effective in terms of quality.  Here is a list of revoked EUAs for non-NIOSH approved disposable filtering facepiece Respirator.
